EUCAPSOM Launches 16 Days of Activism in Mogadishu

The European Union Capacity Building Mission (EUCAP) Somalia has launched 16 Days of Activism.

EUCAPSOM launched the 16 Days of Activism on Wednesday, November 23 in Mogadishu.

The 16 Days of Activism kick off around the East African country officially on Friday, November 25.

It promotes awareness of the dangers of gender-based violence (GBV), which is a serious problem in Somalia.

Zakia Hussen, the Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Police Force (SPF), attended the event.

She was in the company of other officers representing SPF and the Somali National Army (SNA).

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense together with their colleagues from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation were at the launch ceremony too.
