A former chief of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has received clearance to vie for a House of the People (Lower House) seat in Beledweyne.
Abdullahi Sambalooshe, the ex-NISA boss, received his clearance certificate on March 26.
HirShabelle’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) awarded him the clearance certificate.
Consequently, Sambalooshe is set to be one of the seven candidates contesting the HOP#058 seat in Sunday’s elections.
HirShabelle has a few seats left to conclude its Lower House elections.
