A former Director-General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has denied reports of the planned ouster of Jubbaland leader from office.
Fahad Yassin denied reports that ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo planned to kick Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Islam Madobe out of office.
Yassin, a former head of NISA, said this during an interview with the media.
He admitted that Farmaajo’s administration never saw eye-to-eye with the leader of the regional state of Jubbaland.
Yassin confirmed that Farmaajo’s administration pursued discussions with Madobe to iron out the differences between them.
However, the discussions collapsed dramatically at the last minute.
