Former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has thrown his weight behind the ongoing war against Al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia.
Ex-President Farmaajo said that the operations against the terrorist group are warranted.
Somalia, under the leadership of the current President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has ramped up its counterterrorism offensives since last year.
On Thursday, the ex-President said that the government’s war against the terrorists has his full support.
He joins a growing list of influential Somalis that include politicians and religious leaders who have also voiced their support for the war.
