A former President of Somalia will be sworn in as a permanent member of the federal parliament.
Reports from Mogadishu indicate that ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo is to be a permanent member of the House of the People (Lower House).
His swearing-in ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday, August 20.
Farmaajo lost the presidential elections held in Somalia two months ago to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Since then, he has been out of the public limelight.
