Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, a former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, has congratulated Ismail Omar Guelleh who was reelected Djibouti’s president.
President Guelleh won the elections by a landslide.
He was declared the winner with over 98 percent of the votes.
While congratulating Guelleh, ex-President Ahmed called him his “brother.”
President Guelleh has now won his fifth term in office.
Ahmed said that he prays to Allah to guide President Guelleh to play the challenging task of leading the people of Djibouti well.
He also wished President Guelleh and all Djiboutians “success, peace, progress, and prosperity.”
