Extreme rainfall is expected in Somalia for the next few days.
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) issued this warning through its Climate Prediction and Applications Center (ICPAC).
In its latest report, ICPAC predicts very heavy to extreme rainfall in the southern parts of Somalia from November 8-15.
Damon Bristow has called for urgent response focusing on the vulnerable members of the society.
Specifically, he said authorities should focus on women and girls.
Bristow, the Development Director at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) Somalia, said early action will save lives.
