A Somali family of three was left nursing serious injuries after African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) soldiers fired at civilians in Mogadishu.
The three were part of a group of four people wounded when a joint operation between AMISOM and Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers turned violent.
According to eyewitnesses, the soldiers injured a father, his wife, and a daughter.
A local pharmacist in the region was injured too.
The incident occurred at the site of a morning Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast, which struck a convoy of AMISOM vehicles.
AMISOM and SNA soldiers in the region then responded to the blast by firing at the civilians.
