The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has published its latest weather predictions across Somalia.
In the report, FAO says Somalia is currently experiencing light to moderate rains in the southern and central regions, while Somaliland and Puntland remain mostly dry.
The delay in rains has heightened drought risks in Puntland and parts of the south, where water scarcity may impact agriculture and livestock.
Meanwhile, high river levels in Dollow and Belet Weyne are raising concerns about potential flooding, as continued rains could worsen the situation.
The combination of delayed rains and riverine flood risks highlights the need for close monitoring and preparedness, particularly in vulnerable areas.
