President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo held a meeting with the newly elected Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People (Lower House).
Farmaajo was in the company of the regional leader of Southwest, President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen.
The two leaders held a meeting with Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, who has just been elected to serve as the Second Deputy Speaker of the Lower House.
Abshirow was elected on April 28 by legislators during elections for the new leadership of the federal parliament.
Farmaajo and Laftagareen congratulated Abshirow for emerging victorious in the highly competitive polls.
The meeting between the three leaders took place at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu on Thursday.
