President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia held a banquet for Federal Member States (FMS) leaders at Villa Somalia on Thursday.
The banquet preceded the elections talks that were scheduled to kick off on September 10 before being postponed to Saturday, September 12.
All the regional leaders are in Mogadishu after those from HirShabelle, Southwest, and Galmudug arrived at the nation’s capital midweek.
They join their colleagues from Puntland and Jubbaland who have been in Mogadishu since last week.
Furthermore, reports indicate that President Farmaajo also invited Mayor Omar M. M. Filish of Mogadishu to the crucial talks.
