Outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo launched the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Somalia on August 14.
Farmaajo launched the anti-corruption commission in a colorful ceremony that took place in Mogadishu.
The President said that the new commission is proof of Somalia’s unwavering commitment in the fight against corruption.
Furthermore, Farmaajo expects the new commission to protect national assets in the country.
He also expects it to help create a corruption-free Somalia by promoting values such as financial transparency.
The commission is capable of engineering investment and economic growth while boosting public faith in proper governance.
