Ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of Somalia met secretly with a former Prime Minister of Israel in 2020.
An Israeli newspaper – Times Newspaper – made these sensational claims on July 13.
The newspaper said this while quoting a former diplomat.
According to the former diplomat, ex-President Farmaajo flew to Jerusalem for the meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, a former Israel Prime Minister.
The meeting took place in February 2020.
Balal Osman was the only person who accompanied Farmaajo to the meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
It is not clear what the two discussed during the meeting.
Prior to that, Farmaajo and Netanyahu had also met in Nairobi on November 28, 2017 in the presence of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Neither Israeli nor Kenyan officials have confirmed any of these meetings.
