President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has joined other world leaders in sending condolences to Kuwait for the death of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
Sheikh Sabah died in the United States on Tuesday September 29.
He had ruled Kuwait for the last 14 years. During that time, he encouraged high profile diplomacy in not only the Middle East but also around the world.
Farmaajo tweeted his sadness at the demise of a leader who had worked extra hard to bring peace to the world.
President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland also described Sabah’s death as a “huge blow to the Arab League of Nations.”
Deni also mentioned that the international community had lost a stalwart.
