President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has promised to hold meetings with the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS) from February 1-3.
Farmaajo made this vow on January 30 after holding daylong closed-door meetings with representatives of international partners in Somalia.
President Farmaajo’s meeting with the foreign diplomats took place at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu.
Afterward, Farmaajo announced that he respects the elections agreement signed on September 17, 2020 between FMS, FGS, and opposition candidates.
Farmaajo is scheduled to depart for Dhusamareb in time for the meetings that kick off on Monday next week.
At the end of next week, Farmaajo would be addressing the Upper House and House of Representatives on the progress of elections preparedness.
