President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo is expected to travel to Addis Ababa to sign a security pact between Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
It is not clear when Farmaajo would depart Somalia for his sojourn to Ethiopia for the pact-signing event.
Furthermore, it is noteworthy that Farmaajo intends to sign the pact on behalf of Somalia despite his term as president expiring on February 8.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Isaias Afwerki of Ethiopia and Eritrea respectively will be at the ceremony too.
It is worth noting that Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea were recently mentioned for the deadly war that took place in Tigray last year.
