President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo is scheduled to address the nation on the ongoing elections talks.
Since February 25, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has been holding talks with different stakeholders to resolve the electoral impasse.
First, he met with regional state leaders.
Next, he held discussions with opposition politicians, who met him in their capacity as members of the Council of Presidential Candidates Union.
Roble’s meeting with the opposition politicians and regional state leaders has breathed life to the election talks that had been assumed dead for months.
This week on Thursday, Farmaajo will be attending an event in Mogadishu.
There are reports that he would use the opportunity to address the nation on the progress of the talks.
