Farmaajo Urges Macron to Stop Supporting Transgressions against Muslims

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has urged French President Emmanuel Macron to stop supporting “transgressions against Muslims.”

Farmaajo’s remarks come in the wake of mounting criticism of President Macron for his recent views on French Muslims, whom he termed “separatists.”

Muslims around the world have been holding protests to condemn Macron for his views on them.

In a statement from Villa Somalia dated Thursday, October 29, Farmaajo reminded Macron of the difference between “free speech” and “transgressions against Muslims.”

Furthermore, Farmaajo also condemned Macron for his “anti-Islam” comments.

This week, Somali Muslims have also taken to the streets to voice their dismay at Macron. They have also urged fellow Somalis to boycott French products.
