A Jubbaland minister, Abdifatah Mukhtar, confirmed that Somali National Army (SNA) troops injured in Ras Kamboni Clashes were airlifted to Mogadishu on Thursday for further medical attention.
The Minister of Information emphasized that Jubbaland forces and authorities treated the wounded soldiers with “dignity and respect” while they were under its care.
The fighting in Ras Kamboni highlights ongoing security challenges in the region, which borders Kenya and remains a hotspot for Al-Shabaab activity.
