The Chairman of the Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) has fired the commission’s Secretary-General.
Chairman Muse Gelle fired Secretary-General Abdirahin Abdiaziz on April 1.
According to Gelle, Abdiaziz is guilty of contravening the FEIT’s code of conduct.
This took place after Abdiaziz criticized the list of the newly elected legislators that FEIT announced and published on Thursday, March 31.
Abdiaziz criticized the list, which did not feature the results of elections of three House of the People (Lower House) seats.
Three of the four seats whose results FEIT excluded from the list were from Southwest.
One was from the regional state of HirShabelle.
The one in HirShabelle had gone in favor of Fahad Yasin, the immediate former Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
