The Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) has confirmed that elections for the remaining parliamentary seats would take place by February 25.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble issued a deadline of Feb. 25 for holding polls for all House of the People (Lower House) seats.
On Friday, Ambassador Ahmed Safina confirmed that FEIT remains committed to the deadline.
Ambassador Safina serves as the official spokesperson for FEIT.
Thus far, Somalia has elected 124 lawmakers from different parts of the country.
The country has roughly two weeks to elect the remaining 151 lawmakers to the federal parliament in Mogadishu.
