The Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) has condemned the recent raid by officers from the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) at Somali Cable TV.
Somali Cable TV, a privately owned TV station operating in the country, becomes the latest media outlet to attract the wrath of the Federal Government of Somalia.
NISA raided its offices, which are located in Mogadishu, and injured a journalist and a cameraman.
The journalist and cameraman were first tortured by the intelligence and security agency.
FESOJ condemned the incident that took place on the same day that the body fighting for journalists’ welfare in the Horn of Africa nation had condemned deteriorating press freedom.
