The Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) has blasted the Federal Parliament for barring independent media from covering the opening of the 7th session.
Although some members from independent media were allowed to cover the event, most of them were barred.
CPJ Africa also added its voice to this by calling out the government for enabling such an atrocity thus denying the public the chance to follow an important event.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo addressed parliament to declare the 7th session officially opened.
