The Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) has urged authorities to stop barring journalists from the Federal Parliament.
According to FESOJ, journalists working for independent media in the country offer critical and essential service.
Consequently, journalists need access to institutions such as parliament, which are crucial for moving the country forward.
Without journalists, members of the public would never know what is happening in parliament. The decisions and activities of the Federal Parliament affect the public in multiple ways.
Today, journalists from different media outlets were barred from accessing parliament to cover the activities that the legislators were engaged in.
