FESTU Calls for Thorough Investigations into Allegations of Labour and Human Rights Violations by FAVORI

The Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) have asked authorities in the country to launch an in-depth investigation into the conduct of Favori.

According to FESTU, the Turkish-firm Favori that manages Somalia’s main international airport in Mogadishu, needs to be held to account.

FESTU called for full accountability in the case involving Favori, a company facing allegations of serious labor and human rights violations.

FESTU said this in a press release published on September 18.

This highlights growing concerns over the treatment of workers and the need for stronger regulations and enforcement to ensure human rights are upheld in such situations.

Holding those responsible accountable would signal a commitment to addressing these issues and improving labor conditions.
