The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has launched a joint campaign with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to collect data on food production.
The FGS-FAO campaign officially kicked off on September 1.
On Wednesday, FGS and FAO issued a statement saying that the campaign would also identify national pathways for the transformation of food systems.
The campaign is part of the efforts by the Somali government and the global body to ensure that the East African nation meets its share of the global food goals.
In the last couple of years, Somalia has suffered extensively from floods and the desert locust infestation that destroyed a huge portion of its crops.
