The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is to work closely with Save the Children to improve child and maternal health services in the country.
This news emerged on Sunday, August 22 when officials from the Ministry of Health met with Save the Children representatives.
Dr. Abdinasir SH Mukhtar, the health ministry’s Director General, led the government delegation in the meeting with the Save the Children representatives.
They discussed several topics all related to finding the best ways of advancing maternal and child health services in the country.
On its part, Save the Children pledged to improve its partnership with the health ministry and other health stakeholders in Somalia for the benefit of children and mothers.
