The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has appointed a 12-member committee to evacuate Somalis from Sudan.
Abshir Omar Jama Huruse, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead the committee.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama announced the formation of the committee when he chaired a emergency cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
The committee will coordinate the evacuation efforts with other agencies such as Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA).
