Bihi Egeh briefed the United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia on the progress of the country’s economic agenda.
Egeh, the Minister of Finance, was with Ambassador Mike Nithavrianakis on Wednesday at the ministry’s offices in Mogadishu.
Other issues that are important to Somalia-UK relations also featured prominently in their talks.
Some of these issues included financial governance and debt relief.
Amb. Nithavrianakis assured Egeh of the leading role that the UK plays in championing Somalia’s pursuit of debt relief.
He reiterated the UK’s desire to enable Somalia to reach the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) completion point.
