The Fisheries Consultative Conference that has been going on in Mogadishu over the last few days has ended.
The conference ended on Saturday, December 12.
Organizers held the conference to discuss several issues affecting the fisheries sector in Somalia.
During the conference, participants discussed the need for renewing the revenue sharing agreement for the fisheries sector at the national and regional level.
Galmudug State’s Minister of Ports and Fisheries, Sabir Shurie, noted that his region had not benefited from the previous fisheries agreement and law.
Participants also took the opportunity to validate the Draft Fisheries Bill.
