The Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy has briefed the Senatorial Committee on National Resources on the registration of fishing vessels in Somalia.
Ahmed Hassan Aden, the fisheries minister, met with members of the National Resource Committee of the Senate (Upper House) on Monday.
Aden and members of the Senatorial Committee discussed the challenges that the ministry faces in registering and licensing fishing vessels operating on Somalia’s shores.
Furthermore, Aden also updated members of the committee on the ministry’s plans for the Federal Member States (FMS) and marine resources annual report.
