The Director-General (DG) of the Ministry of Fisheries has traveled to Seychelles to represent Somalia in an ongoing conference.
Mohamud Sheikh Abdullahi, the DG of the fisheries ministry, will be attending the 10th IOTC TACA conference in Seychelles.
The purpose of the conference is to find sustainable solutions for safeguarding the dwindling stocks of tuna fish in the Indian ocean.
Tuna fishing is quite popular in Somalia between May and September when the monsoon winds are at their optimum.
