Flash Floods Affected 73,000 People in October, OCHA Announces

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that Deyr flash floods affected 73,000 people in Somalia.

The global organization announced that the floods affected people throughout various parts of the country in October.

Additionally, the floods affected 4,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

OCHA made this announcement on its latest monthly report for October 2020.

In the report, it also mentioned the four aid workers who were recently killed. OCHA stated that the number of aid workers killed in the country in 2020 alone now stands at 15.
