Flight Data Recorder of Plane That Crashed in Mogadishu Yet to be Recovered

The flight data recorder (FDR) of the plane that recently crashed in Mogadishu is yet to be recovered.

A plane belonging to Jubba Airways crashed at Aden Adde International Airport’s Runway 05 on July 18.

Its FDR remains unrecovered almost 10 days later.

The federal Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation stated that investigations into the accident are complete.

However, investigators completed their work without recovering the plane’s FDR.

The FDR is crucial to determine what happened to the plane to cause the crash.

There were no casualties as every person onboard the plane, including the crew, was rescued a few moments after the crash took place.
