Floods Displaced over 140,000 Somalis Since Start of Rainy Season

The ongoing floods in Somalia have displaced over 140,000 people since the start of the rainy season.

Somalia is currently experiencing the Gu (rainy) season.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said this in its latest report.

OCHA released its latest report on April 13.

In the report, the organization listed the area’s most affected by the ongoing floods.

They are Bardhere and Baidoa.

It added that the floods have affected over 175,000 people around the country.
