Federal Member States (FMS) arrived in Mogadishu on Wednesday for a meeting with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of Federal Government of Somalia.
The meeting between the country’s leaders was organized to fine-tune the recently signed elections agreement.
Farmaajo hosted Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni, Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Islam Madobe, and HirShabelle’s President Mohamed Abdi Waare.
President Abdiaziz Lafta-Gareen of Southwest, President Ahmed Abdi Kariye of Galmudug, and Mayor Omar Filish of Mogadishu attended the meeting too.
All the leaders returned to finalize some of the electoral deals that they left untouched during last month’s National Consultation Conference.
