Leaders of all the Federal Member States (FMS) have called for ceasefire between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
On September 17, the regional state leaders issued a statement calling for an end to the political tussle between the President and Prime Minister.
In the last couple of weeks, the differences and hostilities between Farmaajo and Roble have played out in the public domain.
The latest round of differences between them is the result of the inexplicable death of Ikran Tahlil, a female officer with the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
Consequently, the FMS leaders have organized a meeting on September 21-23 in Garowe to discuss the prevailing political situation in the country.
