The top leadership of the Forum for National Parties (FNP), a coalition of opposition parties in Somalia, met Speaker of the Upper House, Hon. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi.
Ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and ex-President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who lead the coalition, held a meeting with Speaker Hashi in Mogadishu on Monday.
During their meeting, the three leaders discussed the political situation that Somalia finds itself caught up in currently.
Leaders from the Federal Government of Somalia and Federal Member States are currently meeting in Mogadishu to discuss issues relating to the upcoming elections.
Uncertainty over several elections-related issues has raised political temperatures in the East African nation.
Further details on the meeting between FNP leadership and Speaker Hashi remain under wraps for now, though.
