Foreign investors have been urged to register with the Somali Foreign Investments Board.
Mohamed Dubo, Director of the Somalia Investment Promotion Office (SOMINVEST), issued this call on Monday.
His comments come in the wake of the recent signing of the Investments and Investors Protection Bill into law.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud signed the bill into law.
Dubo warned unapproved foreign investors to register with the board as soon as possible to avoid falling foul of the government.
He added that the government would only protect approved investments.
