MOGADISHU — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali Dhaay, welcomed a senior Turkish delegation at the ministry’s headquarters.
The delegation was led by H.E. Ali Onaner, Director General for the Africa Department at Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and included Turkey‘s Ambassador to Somalia, Alper Aktaş.
Reaffirming Support
The officials engaged in high-level discussions focused on strategies for enhancing the historic bilateral ties between the two nations.
During the meeting, the Turkish delegation reaffirmed Ankara’s steadfast commitment to Somalia‘s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, continuing a long-standing partnership that spans security, development, and economic cooperation.
