Former presidents of the regional state of Puntland have spoken out angrily against the deadly clashes that occurred in Bosaso town.
The leaders issued a joint press release condemning the clashes between regional forces.
Around 20 people have been confirmed dead from the clashes. The dead include civilians and government soldiers.
Some of the former leaders who spoke include Abdirahman Mohamed Farole and Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas.
Ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad also railed against the clashes.
According to the leaders, Sa’adiyo Yasin should be questioned over the clashes.
Yasin is the First Deputy Speaker of the federal House of the People (Lower House).
She traveled to Bosaso on Monday in a plane carrying different supplies for the people of Puntland. Clashes began soon after her arrival at Bosaso Airport.
