A former minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has been appointed the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) Special Envoy for Africa.
IOFS announced the appointment of Said Husen Iid, who served as Somali’s federal Minister of Agriculture, on September 12.
Apart from the agriculture docket, Iid is also a former federal Minister of Livestock in the Somali government.
His new role at IOFS would now see him travel to all member countries of the organization in the African continent.
