Former Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khaire, traveled to Turkey on Sunday October 25 for a series of meetings.
Turkey is one of Somalia’s most strategic international partners.
Khaire has several connections in Turkey by virtue of the senior position held in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) up to July 2020 when the House of Representatives kicked him out of office.
While in Turkey, Khaire is expected to continue with his presidential campaigns.
Last month, Khaire announced that he would be vying in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for February 2021.
Upon his arrival in Istanbul, Somalis in Turkey received Khaire warmly.
