Hassan Ali Khaire, the immediate former Prime Minister of Somalia, visited key opposition leaders in Mogadishu to bury the hatchet with them.
Khaire spent time with the leaders, including two former presidents, to apologize for his actions against them while working under President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
He met the leaders during the ongoing consultative meeting in Mogadishu between 12 presidential candidates from the opposition parties.
Some of the leaders he met include Abdirahman Abdishakur, the leader of the Wadajir Party.
Others included ex-President Hassan Sheikh and ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
The opposition leaders are in Mogadishu to discuss the need for speaking with one voice and working in harmony to ensure that Somalia holds fair and credible elections.
