Four people were injured when Al-Shabaab attacked Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug State, with mortar shells on February 1.

According to multiple sources, the attack took place on Monday night.

Dhusamareb is currently hosting the fresh round of talks between Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FGS).

The National FGS-FMS Conference on Elections kicked off from Monday to Wednesday.

Preliminary reports from the region indicate that four people were injured as Al-Shabaab rocked the city with the mortar shells.

Reports show that the attack took place as President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble spent their first night in the city.
