GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, is prepared to help Somalia to strengthen routine immunization all around the country.
This emerged this week when Dr. Ali Hajiadam held talks with Dr. Sania Nishtar, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GAVI.
Dr. Hajiadam, Somalia’s Minister of Health, held talks with Dr. Nishtar in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday.
They met and spoke on the sidelines of the 77th World Health Assembly (WHA) which Dr. Hajiadam has been at for much of this week.
Apart from improved routine immunization, the discussions between Dr. Hajiadam and Dr. Nishtar also revolved around ensuring that vaccines reach underserved areas in Somalia too.
