Somalia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Hajiadam, told state media that General Ahmed Ali Sheegow passed away from liver cancer.
Speaking to the media on Monday evening, the minister added that the cancer developed from long-standing hepatitis B.
He added that the hospital where Gen. Sheegow died would release an official report confirming the cause of death.
