Goods imported through Mogadishu Port as well as the Aden Adde International Airport must have a Certificate of Conformity.
The Somali Bureau of Standards (SBS) published the latest guidelines on this.
Consequently, the notice puts all companies, businesses, international organizations, traders, and the general Somali public to abide by the new directive.
They have to apply for and obtain the certificate of conformity from SBS.
The bureau added that the certificate is crucial in guaranteeing the protection of the environment and ensuring that public health does not suffer.
