President Ali Gudlawe Hussein held a meeting with the members of the HirShabelle Parliamentary Election Commission on August 31.
The meeting between President Gudlawe and the election commissioners took place at the Presidential Palace.
During their meeting, the leaders discussed several issues pertaining to elections.
Specifically, they talked about preparations for the Upper House elections.
Thus far, HirShabelle remains the only regional state yet to hold elections for its Upper House seats. All the other Federal Member States (FMS) have held theirs, even if partially.
