As the world celebrates the International Youth Day on August 12, the Acting Prime Minister Mahdi M. Gulaid took the opportunity to praise Somali youths for their contribution in building the nation.
On Wednesday, Gulaid tweeted his pleasure at the day set aside to celebrate the youths and the marvelous role they play in ensuring that the world moves towards the future full of hope, dreams, and new aspirations.
Further, Gulaid passed his congratulations to the youths of Somalia.
He highlighted the fact that youths make up more than 75 percent of the population of Somalia. Based on this, the Acting Prime Minister reminded the country that the future of Somalia is in the hands of the youths.
Without the youths, Gulaid mentioned that the country would be unable to enjoy the result of the rebuilding process. Somalia is reemerging from decades of chaos, political instability, dysfunctional government, and intertribal conflicts.
